So a team good enough to make the wild card and go on a run like the Royals did last year? Wren's Braves were one of the winningest teams in the league for about 5 years up until around the all-star break last season. If you want to say he doesn't deserve much credit because he got handed elite level talent then so be it. But you and many others praised him for recognizing not to trade away such elite talent while they were still in the minors and and wait to build around them once they got to the big league level.
I would say I'm surprised about all the negative remarks that Wren has gotten is surprising considering all the good he did for the franchise after JS wrecked the team trying to keep alive a division title streak that was more important to him then the future of the franchise. But it is the Braves Way to trash former players and employees.
