GDT 5/13/21: Blue Jays (Stripling) @ Braves (Morton) - 12:20 PM

Any time I start to have thoughts like 'maybe Adrianza should get some starts at short' Dansby does something good.

No...he should still gets starts over him...He got lucky and ran into one today...so what...he’s still inconsistent and Ks at an alarming rate. He’s just as likely to go 0 for his next 20 now.

Lots of reasons for a losing record, but this is a big reason imo...

FF, ozuna, albies vs lhp:
14/95 (.147), 6 bb, 26 k

Remember when everyone said the Braves were going to be awesome against LHP, and I kept saying they have never been that good vs them and needed to add help there?

Remember when folks insisted more Albies would solve the issue, even after I showed them how mediocre the Braves were in 2019 vs LHP with a fully healthy Albies and a monster JD?

Martin getting his first chance to pitch in years, and it comes in a 1-run game? Damn you, Snit! No, I'm kidding. Glad to see Martin back.

I count 3 erroneous statements in this single run-on sentence.

No.

Again, if Swanson was hitting with normal luck and his actual line matched his expected line of .247/.318/.435, everyone would be perfectly happy with his bat at SS.

Agreed. Swanson hasn't really been a problem, at least as far as inputs go.

I'm way more concerned with Ozuna, tbh—he doesn't add defensive value, and even his x-stats are underwhelming.

Ozuna in LF was always going to be a problem, and many of us thought having him play out there full-time would also affect his hitting. I do expect it to improve with the DH, or perhaps Ozuna will drop 20-25 pounds and get back to his fielding weight. What diet was Folty on when he lost 283 pounds last year?

Radio just killed me. This ball is way back there... ozuna to the fence... this ball just dies there.

Damn it! I can't take that crap lol

I think “content” might be more the word, but fair enough.
