GDT 5/17/25: Braves @ Red Sox - It's My Daughter's Birthday

How is it that every other team has multiple guys pumping gas out of the bullpen?
Because they develop well or spend well...We have one dominant guy and that's Daysbel....mind you spent almost tye entire season in Gwinnett last year with a sub 2 ERA at both levels. This organization is utter shit in managing and developing prospects...the fact that guys like Kimbrel is in our farm is laughable.

Yes, they suck at developing prospects while the Braves had the top two ROY candidates in 2022 and potentially the top two in 2025.

Management is a conversation, but they develop high-quality talent at a very high rate.

When it was 6-2, you burn our best relievers ro secure this game. They sit tomorrow and Monday then to rest

And now look....Harris is fckn useless and who knows what Strider will be like...

I’d like to know where the fuck the other 40 relievers we signed to minor league deals went and are none of them seriously better than Montero?

About not using our best arms earlier - I kinda’ get the idea that it would be nice to have a 6-2 lead and get through it without using our best arms if at all possible - so we’d have them for tomorrow. It just blew up in our face. If we have to use our best arms every single game - even if we are up 4 runs, then we are totally fucked anyway.

I’ve been less invested the past few months in the team. Is the consensus still that AA held back on improving the team in order to reset the luxury tax?

I just cannot fathom how the guy who is in record saying he would never under invest in the bullpen again after trading for Shane Greene, Chris Martin and Melancon would accept this bullpen.

Ok but Scott Blewett was there

When you have a game that’s winnable, you try to win the game.

Daysbel, Lee, Iglesias each pitched once the last three days.

Pitching two of them today wasn’t going to hurt us.

And we likely win the game.

Snit kept saying this shit in 2023 “if I use all my best relievers in May they won’t make it to October”

Then in October against the Phillies we had a week of rest, and days off between games 1-2-3. And what did he do? Still was fucking using Tonkin, Chavez, in high leverage because it was the 4th inning not the 8th inning.

Tomorrow isn’t a guaranteed win. Up 6-2 fine. But 6-4 why do you put Montero in then allow him to put runners on then put in Pierce? Then you run pierce back out for the 9th anyways?!!
