Wonder what the lineup will look like tomorrow with Ozuna out? Does everyone just move up a spot? Does Freeman move back to 3 and Dansby to 2? Does Riley just move up? Doubt Snit would just plug and play Ozuna’s replacement in the 3 spot

I hate ozuna got hurt but I disagree that sliding head first doesn’t hold rewards. Players have gotten good and the wide slide so they can avoid a tag. Also a player can grab the bag, which means they can go in harder and faster than a traditional feet first slide. The arms and hands allows more tools for a player to do things to avoid getting out. Yes it is much more dangerous but the reward is there.

Nothing good that comes from Ozuna sliding head first makes up for the games he will miss due to this injury. This is doubly true for someone like Acuna.

Completely different argument. Sure there is a risk reward debate. But there is equipment out there that protects the hands while running the bases that reduce that risk. I am sure the team would even pay for it if that player wanted it.

But I can definitely see why guys go in head first. Even last night watching the replay, Ozuna was trying the swim move to avoid the tag. That just can’t be done going feet first.

What are we thinking for tonight? Something like Acuña RF - Freddie 1B - Ozzie 2B - Riley 3B - Swanson SS - Panda DH - Heredia CF - Contreras C - Adrianza/Ender LF?

Morton is pitching about like he has most of the last 4 years. He's been a bit unlucky so far, but overly so. He's your standard mid rotation pitcher and he's doing a good job of doing that. Eating up innings at a quality rate.

Smyly is the one you worry about. But even with him, it's only been 7 starts and he has been terrific in May. Hopefully he stays as hot as the weather.

So Riley to left, PANDA plays every day at third. After doing the DH thing in Boston.

I would bat PANDA third.
