I think what's really going on though is teams have advanced scouting reports that a lot of Braves hitters are way too aggressive. So a finesse guy simply throws a pitcher's pitch in the zone and a guy like Albies, who is very aggressive and tries to attack at times, swings at it. Sometimes he's even gotten hits off of that, but often he gets weak contact off it.

This is the Wei-Yen Chen game all over again by the batters, which really makes me think the advance scouting report changed after late April. Finesse guys are just throwing pitcher's pitches in the zone and guys aren't being patient.

When your slate of starting pitchers includes names like deGrom, Matz, and Syndergaard I'd think there'd be a natural letdown by opposing hitters when the Mets trot some guy with a double digit ERA out there.

This is bizarre too. None of them need to play everyday even if they're not slumping. No it doesn't mean give them a day off every week, but an occasional day off here and there is needed.
