GDT: 5/31, Braves @ Giants; Day Off For Freeman

#Braves Peterson .303 (36-for-119) with .370 OBP, 6 extra-base hits (2 triples, 1 HR), 19 RBIs in past 32 games, w/ 13 BB, 17 K.

He's been really good lately vs some tough pitching, good to see.

That sounds....just like..................the 2015 Braves

It's so crazy.........it just might work.........

Except the part where we have had 3 positions average under a .640 OPS. 3B and LF are literally 15th out of 15 in the NL. We are 11th at catcher but thats mainly due to AJ's hot start and Lucroy being injured. Probably will end at 15th at catcher. Hopefully Uribe has turned 3B from a black hole to a positive.

Plus we don't have a Travis Ishikawa

Peterson's BABIP in the time frame above is at .347. I'm not sure that's sustainable. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Stats are what they are, but if you dig hard enough you can find one to back up almost any argument. By the way, over/under on Chris Johnson's exit? I will say late June...

While Jace probably isn't a true talent .310 hitter, his overall BABIP is definitely sustainable. If Jace is a .270/.360/.340 hitter then he will be a valuable player with his base running and defensive value.

Only if it's via trade and we get salary relief. He's way too strong of a left handed hitter to just give away.

Jace's slow April and then this May indicate to me there is more there than a sheet full of numbers.

His line drives are line drives. His defense is praised by the generally accepted best defender in the game and he runs out a ground ball like Pete Rose used to.
Shoot, if the genius' here had their way Tommy LaStella would be playing 2B

That's definitely the case
