GDT 5:4 Dylan vs. Jesus : Hey Mr. Tambourine Man

Riley looks to be pointing the barrel at the pitcher during his load. I wonder if his bat wrap is worse than usual right now.

Remember when everyone said Grissom was a clear offensive upgrade over Arcia?

Remember when I showed statcast data saying that wasn’t the case?

SS Orlando Arcia (microfracture in left wrist)

Expected return: TBD

Arcia was set to begin dry swinging on May 4., per manager Brian Snitker. The shortstop previously expressed his wishes to be playing again by the time the Braves begin their next homestand on May 5. Arcia suffered a microfracture in his left wrist when he was hit by Hunter Greene’s fastball in the second inning of the Braves’ April 12 game. (Last updated: May 4)

RHP Raisel Iglesias (right shoulder soreness)

Expected return: Early May

Iglesias made his third rehab appearance at Triple-A Gwinnett on May 3, completing one inning while allowing one run on two hits and three strikeouts. The next step will be seeing how Iglesias feels in the coming days, then the club will reassess when the closer will return to the team. Iglesias was shut down during Spring Training’s final week with shoulder soreness. (Last updated: May 4)
