One of those or all of those?
it will hurt to have to root for Bumgarner if we do trade for him. he is such a whiner old white man of baseball
much less me worrying how him hating fun would mesh with this team
Donaldson getting Musgrove kicked out of this game may have switched who would've won tonight.
They’re professionals and I have never heard Madbum was a bad teammate. That being said I’m not sure whether he would be the right move.it will hurt to have to root for Bumgarner if we do trade for him. he is such a whiner old white man of baseball

I don't know what to think of frenchy's theory that bumgarner (personal friends) will take it up a notch once he's traded to a contender. I do find it interesting that when muncy got bumgarner fired up in the 1st that Madison shut the dodgers down. Maybe motivation is a problem for him right now... not sure that's a good thing either
He's probably not worth the asking price, but he is better than Gausman, can we agree on this?
I’ve been wrong a ton, and Madbum isn’t old Madbum....he is totally better than Gausman because of the experience factor. That’s my opinion of course, but i think you get him out of San Fran and put him in games that matter...and he improves. He is a gamer. He lives for those games while some of our guys would be nervous as crap.
If we can get Madbum by dealing out of strength (pitching)..:then do it. Waters or Pache....heck no.

"Better" is subjective. Gausman has 4.11 FIP compared to Bumgardner's 3.88
XWOBA entering tonight
Gausman: .319
Bumgardner: .332
WOBA entering tonight
Gausman: .342
Bumgardner: .312
Gausman has been unlucky on balls in play and sequencing. Both are middle of the road pitchers. Bumgardner is a name and not close to the pitcher he was when he was winning those World Series. Right now he's just another guy. The Braves have several of those already.
