GDT 6/17/19: Mets come to town

Really hope we see camargo in rf Wednesday vs matz

I doubt it but I agree, Inciarte has been cleared to resume playing and may start his rehab soon according to Bowman. Bowman thinks Camargo will be the odd man out.

''Inciarte update

Ender Inciarte has been cleared to resume all baseball activities for the first time since being placed on the injured list on May 15 with a lower back ailment, which the team has termed a lumbar strain.

Inciarte could begin a Minor League rehab assignment at some point next week and could be available to return to Atlanta’s roster a short time later.''

"Camargo's performance this season has given reason to wonder if he might be the odd man out when Inciarte returns."

Camargo was terrible even when he was getting more PAs than Mac, Flowers, Culberson, and Joyce.

It’s probably time to retire that poor excuse.

That’s true, but it’s still odd when he doesn’t come in as a late inning replacement in games like tonight.

He's never been terrible. He had a very solid season last year in his 2nd season.

I'd be fine with sending Camargo down just so he can get consistent plate appearances to see if he can figure things out. We don't need him to be a world beater, we just need him to be a solid .700-.750 OPS utility guy off the bench. I think he's perfectly capable of doing that.

The thing about this offense that makes it more exciting than the others, to me, is the fact that we have more than half the lineup locked in long term. Most of these guys are gonna be here for the long haul and most of them are gonna be getting better and better.

Imagine what kind of team we could field if MLB was actually a level playing field and outright **** us over on multiple occasions. Examples being giving the Nationals a secret loan when they had a 160 million dollar payroll. Rubber stamping the worst value TV deal I have ever seen right after vetoing a 2 billion tv deal for the Dodgers because they didnt get enough money.
