GDT 6/20/19: Saturday Soroka Special

My narrative is that Gaus drives state back to siippi and makes sure he has a trailer to sleep in. Thus being my hero.

I asked him on Twitter. He doesn't have time to go all the way to Mississippi, but he will take me to your place in Alabama. I'm gonna stay with you a month or 2.

Please pick up a few things for me at the grocery store today:

Shortening
Flour
Chitterlings
Pork chops
Krispy Kreme donuts
Natural lite

Ok, the narrative is now that Gaus learned 2 pitches in a couple weeks and is going to be the savior? Come on...

Gaus threw a CU as recently as 2016. It wasn’t good then, and I have a hard time believing it will suddenly be good now after 2 whole weeks. A cutter is a harder thrown SL, so that’s a feasible addition.

Gausman is a solid #3 who was performing like a #3/4 while dealing with an injury and suffering some terrible batted ball luck. It was no coincidence Gaus hit the DL almost immediately after DK was signed and he no longer had to pitch through the issue.

If Gausman is healthy he should be expected to be the same #3 we are used to seeing him be.

Well I guess it depends on what you mean by savior. Will he all of a sudden be a TOR? Very unlikely. Will he be able to bring some much needed stability to the rotation? I think that’s pretty likely. If he can pitch like a 2/3 the rest of the way he will make a huge difference for this team.
