GDT 6/29/19: Beat the Mutts

You’re not wrong. Right now Fried’s new slider has allowed him to perform like a #3, but one could argue once the newness of that pitch wears off the effectiveness will wane.

I’ve long advocated for Fried to pick up a sinker due to the low spin rates he gets on the FA likely translating to above average sink on a sinker.

That hammer curve, above average velocity, and prospect of possibly adding an above average sinker is why I’ve always been hesitant to see the Braves trade Fried away.

I've long advocated for him to play with a splitter, cutter, or sinker, and try out whichever one feels most natural to him and/or looks most like the CU out of the hand. Just something actually useful and vaguely FB-like.

Salma--"My guess is that he'll be in the game before the 7th."

In RF in Bot 6th.

Move Camargo to 2nd but could have put Culberson in RF.

Last 2, 0 for 7 with 4 Ks

Game before those, 2-3 with HR and 1 K, 1 BB

His catching pitches has really suffered. Don't know how many passed balls he's allowed, but it seems like 1 a game, not to mention WP that he should have knocked down.

Due to the Nats and Phillies lose earlier, this lose would be of the ****ty variety if it happens. Also, are we ever going to stop Rosario? Lol
