I mean, there’s a big difference in his ABs in those situations than in others. Part of it is the pitcher bearing down and making great pitches (like the slider on the first pitch to him there), but he’s not as patient and selective in those moments.

Really? Then how has he posted a 1.370 career ops with the bases loaded?

The confirmation bias around here is laughable. Who cares about facts? You saw what you saw that one time!!

They just showed it. Coming into this year, Acuna was money with bases loaded. This season, he isn't doing well. I'm sure some of that is bad luck, but I think a good bit is trying to do too much. What's his numbers after 7th inning? I could be wrong, but they seem bad off top of my head. Combine the stats in the 2 situations I stated and prove me wrong. I certainly could be
 
Acuna’s career ops in 8th or later is .841.

But yeah, dude can’t perform late or with the bases loaded.

Uh-huh. And a .500 OPS this year. In fact, his numbers with runners on this year are atrocious.

But, you’re right. It’s just that “one time”.

Wrong. His ops with runners on is over 1.000.

You guys taking about the results of 7 PAs as if it means anything like “he can’t handle those situations” is hilarious though haha.

That’s with a runner on.

It obviously doesn’t mean that much, because it’s a small sample size either way, but the quality of ABs is just something I’ve noticed with him this year.
