Is he any good as a bench bat? I don't have his PH numbers. The Cardinals had him as a bench bat and they decided they'd rather have our top 50 prospect.
Some guys aren't very good in the PH role. If he could play any other position than 1B I'd feel better.
I am hoping someone is desperate for a 1B upgrade (Yanks, Red Sox?) and is willing go give us a top 200 prospect. Maybe you get one of those guys who has it all except for power for the position. Or the high upside guy who has contact issues. Those talented guys in that lower range that have one thing holding them back.
we should absolutely try and trade him, not sure if we will though. It seems like Coppy feels pressure either externally or internally to speed up the rebuild.
Everybody who doesn't factor into the long-term plan the Braves should be trying to move and acquire future assets for; that's Colon, Dickey, Garcia, Motte, Jim Johnson, Flowers, Suzuki, Markakis, Kemp, Phillips, Adams, and maybe guys like Viz, Teheran.
