Tomlin might not be a good matchup for these guys because he throws nothing but strikes. As usual with bad hitting teams, they struggle laying off pitches out of the zone, but can hit bad pitches in the strike zone.

I still say Joyce is back to his form from the year before last. That makes him quite a bit better than Markakis, look at Joyce's power numbers that year. He should be platooning and could even bat clean-up vs righties. I'd put Donaldson back in his two hole spot he prefers, having Freeman behind him should help get him more pitches to hit. Then have someone like Joyce platoon in the clean-up spot. Markakis wouldn't like that of course.
