GDT 7/10/22 Braves vs Gnats - Bust Out the Broom

Why in the living hell does this team insist on not winning it in the ninth and going to extras? It never works. Stop doing it. It’s just irrational.
 
Since the Braves score so many runs via the HR and score so many runs with nobody on base, the free base runner in extra innings benefits them relatively less than almost all their opponents. I wonder how much that contributes to how awful the Braves seem to be in extra inning games.
 
How does the free runner score for the Nats in this inning? And how do the Braves not even move the runner up in their half?

It definitely does. It’s still awful.
