GDT 7/13/24: Braves @ Padres - A Fox Game

Kelenic is now down in wOBA, xwoba, and wrc+ from last season. Every hitter (save ozuna) is worse than last year and having down seasons. Seitzer should be shown the door as soon as this game ends
 
Phillies game made me smile. They must have already checked out for the break. Got their asses STOMPED by the A's. Three players had multiple home runs, including Butler with three roundtrippers. Can't recall ever seeing that before.
 
I'll be curious to see how they manage Sale's workload in the second half. I keep thinking on Enscheff's comments right after the Sale trade, how his sole purpose is to be there in October, and he shouldn't pitch more than 100 innings (or something to that effect) during the season to save his arm for the postseason. And now they have a dilemma with Sale pitching way beyond what was expected, leading the pack for the NL Cy Young even.

I mean, his peripherals are virtually the same as last year. He was hitting into some putrid luck the first couple months. The last month has been a legitimate slump, and he’s been horrible. Something is probably really messed up mechanically. I’d hold off on saying he’s toast.

Albies on the other hand…I’m worried about.
