GDT 7/13 vs Reds Injured Outfield Edition

Just got in from umpiring all day. Glad to see that we pulled out a win without the amazing 3. I love the fact that we go into the break with no worse than a 5 game lead.

Was wondering where you were. We could have used you behind the plate today. Joe West was awful.

7 hits from our replacement outfield. Better than we would've gotten from out starters. Crazy game.

Miami's offense forgot to show up against Haren. 1-0 Nats through six innings. I doubt we can count on Miami winning another game vs Nats.

Well, hold the presses it ain't over yet. Stanton ties it 1-1 leading off the 9th with a homer. Now they're headed to the tenth inning.

Wow, Cishek pitched himself into a mess including two hits and a wild pitch putting them at second and third. But then cleaned it up striking out two straight including Zimmerman. Marlins coming up in bottom of the tenth. Hope they can walk off with a win here.

YES! Ed Lucus wins it for Miami!

The winning run reached on a two base error by Tracy, then a walk and bunt and walk. Then Lucas just made contact as you need and they couldn't turn the DP. So fielder's choice RBI for Lucas as they got the force at second as runner scored.

Oh, seven games ahead, how I missed you. Thanks Lucas!

A former Brave no less, albeit for the G-Braves and M-Braves. I wish we'd kept him as he'd be a big upgrade to Janish and can play almost anywhere. He's a very good defensive third baseman being a natural shortstop too.

Wonder if they still think they are a better team?

They aren't and never have been, media propaganda, we don't get any love. Their starters are very good but not showing it, our offense is better on paper and they have it hit FAR worse than the Nationals in that department but yet we are up a lot of games.

I saw Gattis had a double his last AB today for G-Braves. I wonder if we'd consider activating him if Freeman is too hurt to go tomorrow. Probably not.
