That’s an example of an ump having a direct impact on the hitter and outcome.

If they do go robo umps, do teams start going for more offense at catcher position? Seems not having to worry about framing at all would make finding a catcher easier. Obviously he'd still have to be able to block balls and call a game. It'll be interesting to me if defense or what becomes the trait you want the most there
