I didn't like the Smyly signing and I'll gladly eat at least one wing of crow. But the guy absolutely has to be handled with kid gloves. If the situation even looks there may be a slight risk after two times through, he shouldn't go back out there. Snitker just seems to be stuck in the old "Quality Start" stat mentality from days for yore that required the pitcher to go six innings.

For some reason Snitker has lost all faith in Matzek, even though he he’s been one of our better relievers overall. Minter has struggled outside of a few stretches all year, and has had a few absolute meltdowns. I don’t get it.

Minter and snit lost this series. The braves would be better if both would be sent out to the pasture.
