Won't be easy but at the very least it doesn't take a lot of squinting to see a 85-88 win team next year.
 
Can't remember the player's name but the guy who couldn't get down the routine sac bunt cost Oakland this game. As I said in an earlier post, thank you very much.

IIRC it wound up as a very long single that scored a runner from second base. Had the sac bunt not been botched, it would've easily scored runners from second and third...game over 4-3 Oakland. They're called fundamentals for a reason and it's nice when other teams can't execute them.
 
Tuesday = Newcomb

Wed = Garcia

Thursday = folty

Friday = dickey

Saturday = Teheran

Sunday = Newcomb

Really need a big week from these guys
 
I do not think we r good. We just lost a series in sd.

We are lucky that the Nl is down and our division is awful.

We likely had the worst bench in the history of baseball. Swanson was terrible. Pitching was great for a week ir two then awful.

I think we are better now but i fear we buy. Ff may not be himself for a while. Ff at 3b with Adams kemp and neck may be the worst defense in the game. Kemp Adams Phillips may well come back to earth. Catchers too.

I think this is fools gold. Dangerous gold if we go get a sonnny gray

Braves won't acquire any pieces at the deadline unless the player has 2-3 more years left on his deal.

However, the only way this is not a mirage is if Folty/Newc are becoming TOR types. Doesn't have to aces but 2 & 3 starters really accelerates contention. I'm as big of a Newcomb guy as any. Striker and I have been beating that drums for well over a year. Teheran will normalize. He was throwing hard today which is a great sign. The pitching looks respectable. If Freeman comes back and is even 80% of what he was then we are going to give these 'good' teams a fight.

You don't get it thethe. Normalizing only works downward. When someone under-performs it is real and cannot normalize. :cooter:
