This series would have been perfect but now we need him for LA. Of course if Kershaw is on in game 3 then the entire lineup will technically get a day off. Lol
Given the way we struggled to win 3 games against the Padres, I hope Wren realizes that it would be better if the Braves were sellers and started the rebuilding process.
No you are correct. I said this a few days ago. Realistic expectations considered I know they won't become sellers.Am I mistaken in quoting you as having said: "They should become sellers to try and acquire more talent in the form of prospects."
Is that quote accurate or not?

I'd even consider giving up Laird if the return were big enough.
I never thought we would make a splash via trade this season. Don't see where they can afford to take on any significant pay roll. A couple lesser deals like you mentioned are more likely to happen. I would prefer that ideal over an all out "buy now" mode.I detect your tongue as being firmly in your cheek, but I hope they stand pat unless it's a move at the margins. If they can get someone like Ruggiano or Bonifacio (as position players) or a solid bullpen arm for someone like Cody Martin or Aaron Northcraft, I would probably do it. That said, I don't want to part with anyone resembling one of our top five prospects. I'm not that high on Kubitza, but I don't know if I'd trade him right now either.
I think we should just sell every year for prospects so we can win minor league championships. **** this winning divisions and being a few games from the best record in the nl.
I don't think the commissioner would approve a deal with both Laird and Harang in it. It would violate the laws of nature.

I'm pretty much in agreement. Upgrade at the margins and use guys like Northcraft or Schlosser as the currency to make those upgrades.
