GDT: 7/31/13 Rockies at Braves

Average salary per WAR is 4.5 mill. BJ is typically a 4-5 WAR guy. He got paid what he should have.

So I make a point about the market and you switch things up arguing for WAR? OK... This is no different than the Uggla is worth his contract debates. I disagree on both players, esp. considering Atlanta's overall budget.

The market set the price per WAR...You only disagree because of hindsight...

Johnson is starting to be one of my favorite players. Really fun season from him so far.

How did he switch things up? His point is relevant to the discussion.

There was some poster, probably a genius in real life, who went on such a rant and rave about Heyward hitting leadoff, and how it was a bad idea to have Simmons leadoff because hitting our worst hitter first is a bad idea. Who was that again?
