GDT: 7/31/14...10:10 PM EST Start...Braves (No Heyward) vs. Dodgers

I get it's frustrating and we're facing Kershaw, but I don't know why some of you people watch the Braves if you have even half the angst in real life that is displayed here. If it makes you that upset and hopeless I'd waste my energy and time doing something else.

I'm in no way comparing the two, but does anyone else see a similarity in the pitching/throwing motion between Kershaw and Alex Wood?

Want to know the real obvious difference in these two teams?

Dogers payroll: $231m
Braves payroll: $113m

The totals include dead money and injured reserve money...Another mind boggling statistic:

The Dodgers have 7 guys making $15m or more this season
The Braves have 0 guys making $15 m or more this season

The Dodgers have 9 guys making double figure millions
The Braves have 3 guys making double figure millions

People can use the idea that "buying" championships don't work and use the Yanks as an example, but the quality of players these guys have compared to their salary cap is MUCH different than the likes of the Yanks or Redsox...

The Dodgers have paid a $25m luxury tax penalty the past 3 seasons...

Kershaw is awesome, but that was embarrassing. There's not many reasons we shouldn't of gotten at least ONE run in those innings. Frustrating ass team.

And two of the three Braves who are getting paid double digits in millions are horse trash. And one is not even on a roster at the moment.

You can talk about money all you want, but at least the Dodgers make player personnel decisions that are smart.

Bad AB by Simmons, he needed to be patient and make him get the ball up.

He is what he is man...You better start falling more in love with his glove because we aren't going to get sh*t out of his bat...He is a very inconsistent hitter...Just who he is

Yeah, **** them. I hate that some teams spend 3, 4, 5x as much as other teams. They can just take on any contract and plug mistakes with more money. Braves are a much better overall organization.

He's also very young and in his 2nd full season. I'm not giving up on his bat just yet.

It's contagious. Mediocrity for years will do that to a fanbase.

When you have no limits to spend, you can go after the top targets and spend "wisely" whereas if you're the braves you have to take gambles and risks and overpay for upside.
