GDT: 7/31/14...10:10 PM EST Start...Braves (No Heyward) vs. Dodgers

The offense sucks but Kershaw shuts down pretty much any lineup out there.

Julio definitely had a big game, but he still wasn't good enough early on, and it cost him. Kershaw is a damn machine. Looking back on the series, we should have won last night and had a chance to win Tuesday as well. That doesn't matter though. We lost.

8 innings, 2 runs, what more do you want?

Although i guess Heyward saves a run if he's in but we'd probs lose in extras anyway so it's moot/useless.

And having to hit better pitching, who hits Kershaw all that well.

Answer: no one does so you're grasping at straws here.

Yep. If Heyward was in and we hadn't had the base runner blunder from last night as well as tonight we might have taken 2 out of 3.

Maybe one game.

This game might have gone to extras.

But all hypotheticals.

Kershaws just too damn good.

Cool story. Still cherrypicking, I see.

Julio had a great game. Needed a shutout to beat Kershaw. Very difficult to do against a lineup like that.

Cool facts?

You just answered your own question.

Julio is good but he's human, Kershaw most of the time isnt human.

Just a tough, tough series.

8 IP, 2 runs and Julio didnt do well, nice to have unrealistic expectations.

Where did I say he didn't do well? By definition, he didn't do well enough. He's human, but I think it's fair to at least have confidence your ace can go out and win a 1-0 game. Going to have to at some point if we ever want to beat Kershaw because we sure as **** can't hit him.
