GDT 7-4: KYLE brings EDDIE to the Dance !

So what exactly is the rule. If the game is rained out, would it suspended and resume another day from the point they stopped? I thought it was changed during COVID and left in place

Just looked it up and it looks like they did change the rule during the Covid year and it would be a suspended game to be continued from the point it stopped at a later date. So probably a double header at some point later in the home stand.

My son is there, and he says there are major puddles in the outfield

the Braves have the best drainage system in the majors.

would take probably a few minutes for those big puddles to be drained underground. The grass would still be wet and slick. But no big puddles.

Yup. Was part of the new cba. Great change.

Sweet. I’m glad that rule has changed. Was always dumb

Took awhile to find the rules on this, since MLB doesn't have it organized or communicated well. But this exact scenario occured earlier this year with Twins vs Astros. They resumed the game from where it left off the following day. The recap article indicates they changed the rules during COVID and kept them since.

Yeah - no need to call it now - besides think of the beer sales they are enjoying / we gotta a big payroll to think about here / sell all the chick fil and tomahawk dogs and 24 oz beers for thirty bucks you can

That weather channel radar has it moving out at 2 am and absolutely down pouring

Cool… I’m a meteorologist at the National Weather Service and am analyzing the radar in real time. Also there is no “weather channel radar” lol… it’s NWS radars. You’re probably referring to their “future radar” or whatever it’s called. All that is is a high resolution model that cannot capture exact pop up summer thunderstorm locations like this.

Is it going to snow in Milledgeville this year?
