This team is much worse on paper.

No Ozuna/Donaldson
No TDA
No MLB quality Inciarte
We’re replacing those guys with AAAA fodder.
No Soroka
Only 1-2 good RHP in the bullpen
Much less bullpen depth overall
A non-existent bench

dont forget that Snit is being exposed without the DH

Smyly has somehow survived a 2.4 WHIP and has managed to keep us in the game in the process. I have no words.

I mean't going into the season.

My point was that we got lucky to be as good as we were the last couple years. This year the luck ran out.
