Pitching was better and certain players hit better and two of them were due to inflated BABIP's that aren't repeatable.
Question.
How the fck did this team win 96 games last year? Honestly.
At least we have Harang pitching for us next. He will get us back on track.
They also had a much more consistent offense last year with the same players. But with this offense this year, there is no way they can run off any kind of streak because their offense is too inconsistent. Just like this series, the beat the Nats two best pitchers Zimmermann and Strasburg and suck against Fister and Roark.
Dammit! my sarcasm meter needs new batteries.
Over the past 51 games we are only 21-30, winning percentage of .412. Terrible.
Just handed the Nationals some confidence. Not good.
They were already confident and cocky. We are just lucky to be honest. The worst hitter in all of baseball gets more bats than 3 of your best hitters and not moved is a travesty. As long as he is in the 2 spot, we will struggle with scoring runs. As long as Fredi keeps doing this (I don't think he calling the shot on this ...conspiracy theory over) it tells the rest of the team that BJ is above them. He is at Dan strUggla's level and not being moved or benched.
How many teams are playing worse?

There is no way Wren is making Fredi bat BJ #2, in my opinion. If he IS, then Fredi is DEFINITELY on the hot seat.
Then, o'Smart one, how in the hell can he explain batting one of the worst hitters in the majors 2nd every fvcking game? This is not lineup construction argument, it is an argument of getting your best hitters more chances at the plate. He is a K or fly out to center or right on every at-bat.
He is a bad manager who thinks if he puts BJ out there #2 for the first half no one can blame him for BJ's failures. And he is right about that. BJ is to blame. Now, of course, Fredi is to blame for crippling the offense in order to save face.
