But that doesn't matter right now.
What does matter is this:
We need the Rockies to lose, the Cardinals to win and the Metropolitans to win.

Now 5-3.

Two things really bug me about this game, aside from the fact that a meteor hasn't struck Citizens Bank Park yet.

1. The Phillies throwback uniforms are their road unis from the 70s and 80s. Playing at home they should wear the white ones from that period. I'm OCD about stuff like that.

2. (could also be 1A) The original jersey's were zippered, not button front. If the Phillies are going to look like retro-goobers, they need to go all in. Greg Luzinski wept.

My brain keeps telling me that we should root for the Cardinals to lose at this point as they are the bigger threat now. But eff it, my heart wants them to beat the living **** out of the Nats again.
