GDT 8-16-18 RETURN OF THE NIGHT OF THE JULIO...AND THE ACUNA THING LIVES.......

I was hoping they could take 2/5 from the Phils.

Anymore would be gravy.

Philly had it set up nice too, as they miss Wheeler who has been hot and get Vargas in game 5 who stinks too. Not to mention Oswalt this game and thankfully blew it so cannot sweep the DH at least.

Kingery is lobbing slow-pitch softball style pitches to the plate. I've never seen this in an MLB game. How embarrassing.

haha...he got through 1.1 more efficient than a lot of relievers...I know he gave up a couple (and the Mets are pretty much swinging at everything), but still

That’s some sweet vengeance for the Mets. And it couldn’t have happened to a better team at a better time.

Remember, they lost 25-4 to the Nationals a couple of weeks ago.

Didn't realize they're playing a double-header. Makes more sense that the Phillies are saving their bullpen like that.

They need to get the sweep tonight... and then Thor and Degrom coming over the weekend...

I thought Philly was going with Nola in G2 or G1, but looks like he's going Friday instead. It's Eflin/Matz Game 2, hopefully the good Matz shows up.

2/5 would still be more than you could hope for though.

maybe their bad defense today set up the mets taking three, it would be nice if so but they better at least take two after this win.

Joe Simpson - “ and tonight the Braves are stepping up in class tonight against an opponent from Colorado”

I’m paraphrasing, but he basically called Miami classless

I believe it was an intentional double entendre both of which threw shade on the Marlins. It's a "step up in class" to (1) a much better team and (2) a much classier team.

It hadn’t occurred to me that Joe was that clever.
