GDT 8/16/2013: Nationals @ Braves

Everyone has hated the Braves for years and we've dealt with it. I don't feel a damn bit of sympathy for that fan base or organization. Screw Harper, FP, Ray Knight, Danny Espinosa, and untucked shirt Soriano.

I don't understand why we cheered hitting him. That's pretty lame.

It's just my personal opinion, but I would enjoy seeing Bryce Harper endure extreme pain short of death, maim, or career ending injury.

He's just that repulsive to me - a malformed bastard child of Pete Rose.

And he can't hit lefties.

I love how the Nats expected to win and expected to make the WS and could not handle the pressure. The Braves year in and year out in their heyday expected to win and expected to make the WS and despite the target on their back, they resisted and won anyway. It ain't easy, folks.

With a few 180 degree spins for good measure. 

The last time the Braves had at least 75 wins through 122 games was 2003 when they were 80-42 after 122 games. They reached 75 wins in 114 G

Washington's Ray Knight going off on their crappy postgame show. I can't believe they haven't hit someone yet while their "franchise" gets owned. Haha.

Yup. I didn't see Harper getting hit, but I saw the end of the game and the postgame show.

Knight was saying he was glad Harper didn't retaliate because he would get in trouble, but if he were Harper he would have gone after the pitcher. Saying someone needs to be body slammed for the sake of family, friends, and children, because it was in the neck area and was endangering his life. Said Justin Upton should get drilled in the first inning because he's hitting the HRs against them, and they should do it early so they (the Gnats) won't face any punishments.

Went on to say the Braves fans in Atlanta were totally classless over cheering the HBP and that he (and the other guy) had never, ever seen anything like that from fans in any professional sport.

Knight can spare me. The Nationals fanbase has plenty of jackass classless fools in its midst, so he whose fanbase lives in a glass house...

Boston Bruins' fans used to throw batteries at the opponents from the upper deck in the old Boston Garden back in the 1960s.

The cheering, I assumed, were excited fans saying "It's on now!" or the like. A few knuckleheads should have been called out, but to indict the entire Atlanta fan base is weak.

I predict Strasburg will take it upon himself to dispense some justice in the first inning. Jey-Hey and Justin might just break him in half.

Exactly. Plus the Nats board has been full of anti-Southern bigotry for as long as I've read it. They have no room to talk at all.

#Braves have 40 games remaining. If they went 20-20 the rest of the way, the #Nationals would need to finish 36-5...to tie.
