GDT 8-17: Hot in Cleveland; Going for a Sweep

I’m glad some of our key players are showing signs of life, but I would have been much more excited if this happened a month ago. Funny thing is so many people thought the East was stacked earlier in the season, and now you have the struggling Mets and Reds fighting for the last wild card spot.

If this team had simply not shit itself against the Angels, Orioles, and A's, they'd be right in the thick of things.
The cold slap in the face of starting 0-7 on the west coast put us into a mental hole from which we never seemed to recover. The loss of so many starting pitchers certainly didn't help. At least we've gotten to develop the potential of some promising pitchers so, hopefully, there will be some silver linings in the future.

By the way, as I predicted Sean Murphy would go on 2-36 streak or some BS like that and tank a lot of his trade value he had built up at the deadline. It appears I gave him too much credit. He's now 1-39 since the deadline.

We might have gotten a king's ransom at the deadline. If he continues to tank, we might have to eat money to move him.

If he doesn't bring great value, just keep em. He's hardly as horrible as you guys make em out to be. He's at 108 wrc+, .334 xwoba, and 2.4 fWAR in 82 games.

Oh and maybe the biggest development of the season (waldrep), gives Murphy credit for the turnaround
