GDT 8/27/23: Braves @ Giants - Big Opportunity for Shuster

Not sure keeping mchugh on the team instead of lee is justifiable

McHugh has to be the odd man out. Tonkin is a much better multi-inning option at this point.

Should've just left Schuster in, if you're going McHugh there.

Put McHugh in a tight situation and he's our worst pitcher. Constantly puts Minter in blowout games like last night. I wonder wtf goes on Snit's mind sometimes.

I can't put all the blame on Snit. You can't have guys in your pen that you can't use. The fact that McHugh has clearly demonstrated he has nothing left in the tank this year and yet retains a roster spot is on AA.

McHugh shouldn't have survived the trade deadline.

Sure you can blame him. Just because he’s on the roster, doesn’t mean you have to use him in spots he has absolutely no business being in.

Perhaps I'm jumping the gun on mchugh. Previous 7 outings before tonight...

11.1 ip 8 h 1 er 3 bb 12 k

Snit deserves blame, just not all of it. McHugh still being on the roster makes me wonder what AA is thinking. Dude's toast.

People can hem and haw all they want, but this is precisely the kind of game you put him in to see if he can figure something out. It's not much different than running a closer right back out there after he's blown a couple. Thing is, though, McHugh is about out of rope now.

I will never watch a fckn ESPN San Fran 4 pm broadcast...zero excitement and you have no idea where the fckn ball is.
