That is the top 5 players if I'm choosing a team in that order. Skenes is the only SP that would possibly make the top 5. The Acuna hate is stupid plain and simple.

The most damning stat during this period though is he's played 75% of the games exactly once the last 6 seasons. Damn

He had a 142 wRC+ in high leverage in 2021, not 88. So basically every season he’s been healthy he’s been great in those situations. Kind of flies in the face of your “choke artist” theory.

But the real answer is these things aren’t consistent and are generally worse the worse your numbers are overall.

Dude, you really don’t understand how having a -58 wRC+ over 18 ABs (a mark that is absolutely not sustainable), can completely skew the numbers when you’re talking about situations that inherently occur in a small sample?

I said he's probably a top 8-9 player in baseball. How is that hating? He's also an injury magnet though. At this point of acuna's career, he can't defend and his stealing is done, so he's a bat... Soto is a better hitter

Quantrill's Baseball Savant page looks terrible. Braves have done a pretty good job with reclamation projects, but I can't see them wasting a 40-man spot with him.
