GDT 8/5 Braves (Teheran) @ Mets (Oswalt)

Unfortunately Fox Sports South didn't show that camera angle, which is why Joe and Chip were initially against hte call in real time during the challenge. I went back to watch the replay on DVR after Minter put the next baserunner on, so maybe they did show that angle from SNY.

They did show it later in the inning. You were too busy reviewing your own replays or you would’ve caught it.

DEEEEEERRRRRRRPPPPP

also the batted ball data would be looked at...and even there i wouldn't give much weight to one month of data...LD% is higher in the second half but BABIP is lower by 60 points...happens with small samples

He still has only a .670 OPS vs righties this year, but I do think he'd do better in the NL and was interested in adding him depending on the cost. Btw, I didn't expect Luis Valbuena to totally fall off so fast for the LAA the last two years. I just bring him up as he comes to mind after his recent DFA and he is only a year older.

Giants hold on 3-2 over Arizona, so Braves go back half up on them in the Wild Card. The Braves would be half up on the Dodgers too, but I think most would agree Dodgers are the better team with the players they've added. If the Braves cannot catch Philly, how they play vs the Nats and Arizona is likely to decide the wild card IMO.

I think what we need to root for is a collapse by one of Arizona/LA and one of Chicago/Milwaukee

I don't see LAD or CHC collapsing. But I am hoping Arizona and Mil. do so. BTW, I do think Travis Shaw of Milwaukee was the lefty AA tried to get and didn't get done at the deadline. AA may go after him again this off-season.

Boomcuña with the nice piece of hitting the other way. Joe is audibly moist.

"audibly moist" ... I sure do hope you can legitimately claim that phrase as your own, as it's an 80-grade descriptor, and one to be proud of... regardless of ownership status, bravo

I wonder if it’s occurred to anyone that Cabrera would’ve been a nice deadline pickup to strengthen the bench and shore up the left side of the infield. Someone like him or Solarte.

Mos def - I was thinking same thing a bit before the trade deadline. He's still a solid hitter and he would have fit in quite nicely on this youthful team. Also, could easily see him go on a series-MVP-type tear during the playoffs.

As much as I appreciate the (I assume) legitimate reply to this, I was really just impersonating nsacpi and am disappointed not to have been acknowledged by the man himself.
