GDT 8/5 Braves (Teheran) @ Mets (Oswalt)

At some point, Albies is going to HAVE to do what Camargo did in May and just go up and stand there with the bat, and force the scouting on him to change. He's seeing less and less strikes.
 
Corey Oswalt is not a good pitcher. He's a fringey arm with below average stuff. He's given up 1 run over 6 and hasn't even gotten close to struggling. Our offense is just embarrassingly bad right now.
 
I see why Chip made the comp: this Oswalt kid is certainly working on developing the Harangutan physique.

Not sure if you’re watching, but he’s pitching really well today, irrespective of stuff and pedigree. It happens.

That's because he's locating excellently to the cold spots of the batters. It's hard to hit the ball even against mediocre stuff with good location.

All away and down from him (outside good down ball hitters).
 
There’s maybe one good hitter on the Mets. Julio does realize he just needs to have decent location and this will be an easy win, right? Just awful game by him. Get over yourself.

I'm watching. Oswalt is hitting his spots but there's only so much a pitcher can do with that when he has a straight 90 mph fastball. And fringey secondary stuff.
 
If this is a loss, we're honestly lucky this wasn't the fourth straight loss in this series because the offense has been pitiful for most of this series.

Mets pitching sat down everyone in order after the 4th Thursday.
Mets pitching sat down everyone in order after the Albies double Friday.
Braves couldn't even get anything off of a meh pen yesterday.
Braves are getting Corey Oswalt's career game today.
