I thought when guys change leagues after a trade that they "reset" stats. Am I dreaming this or is this how it used to be? Soler's numbers are why I'm asking

It must have changed at some point because that was the case for years.

When he homered in the 1st mlb.com's gameday app said it was his 3rd homerun. So I'm guessing that officially this is still the case.
 
I still can’t get over that bunt attempt. It might be the most exciting bit of chess playing I’ve seen in all of sports. If they get rid of the pitcher batting and remove those historic moments, why even bother with the sport anymore?

What other sport offers such displays of both intellect and athleticism?!!! It was like watching Einstein dunk a basketball from the free throw line while solving field equations!!!’
