Albies' issue isn't that he tries to hit bombs on every pitch. It's that he has absolutely no plan at the plate. He's just swinging. That's why he will chase a first pitch offspead pitch out of the zone routinely. I'm sure he will improve this weakness with maturity, but it's frustrating to watch. Mental part of hitting and approach is supremely important at this level.
Dansby's flaw is that he doesn't have an elite level swing. He has terrific bat speed and quick hands, but his barrel path limits him. We call it taking a hard left turn, cutting the inside corner. Just really poor plate coverage with pull intent. He's tough on the inner half, but spin something moving away from him or paint middle away, and he's helpless.
