Acuna is pulling a Charlie in the OF, its not in a big sample size but his play in CF is liked better than the corners...and is actually positive.

I don’t think the kid ever played mcsh left field before April so maybe that has something to do with the awkwardness?

Not that he’s mr smooth in center. Nice play though. Degree of speed and hops necessary to bring that one back.

I don’t know. It was a magic power. He’s hit the same damn spot off the plate till the umpire gave it to him or he got run out the game. And then he’s move it further out.

Either way, you gonna die if you keep throwing high and in 88 mph fbs on top of each other. That just isn’t going to work.

very small samples but DRS has Acuna +0 in LF, +1 in CF, and +2 in RF.


Statcast has Acuna at 3 Outs Above Average as well overall.

Switching Camargo and Culberson tonight position wise has led to two runs, hopefully tomorrow Culberson is at short and Camargo at third.

Why he playing 3B?

His rep surely weren’t his bat. Supposed to have been at SS.

Long way around: is it smart to pay Camargo at SS? We know he’s good at 3b. Why not just let him do that?

Yea he is a natural shortstop and third has been his weakest position in the past. He is a good shortstop, very good at times if given enough reps there. He is also okay in LF and second as you say.
