GDT- 8/8/18- Night of the FOLTY

I see Inciarte has an 8 DRS and leads us with the best range numbers this year. So those claiming he was losing it on defense were dead wrong. He's been even better this year. Albies has been strong at second too, 4 DRS and good range, Camargo at third has a 5 DRS and plus range. How about Freeman with a 7 DRS and second best behind Inciarte as far as range at his position? He is having his best year on defense. Swanson is also tied with Inciarte with an 8 DRS at short so very strong infield defense and in CF.

Huge reason the Braves have been good this year.

Impressive, I feel like umpires were more ejection-happy in the 70s

Juan Soto is a prick.

I found that funny...ump was right to eject him, but still funny.

That is funny.

Part of me thought the Nats were itching for an ejection to have something to get fired up about (Eaton, Harper. and Soto were all demonstrably unhappy in previous at-bats), but the umpires weren’t going to give them the satisfaction until Soto forced their hand.

Culberson has been our best bench player since Hinske. Dude has a case for team MVP. Y'all should have heard Carpenter and FP during the Soto ejection. I thought 2013 was fun, but I am enjoying this more.

I can't wait to watch the postgame meltdown/whinefest on Nats Extra after the game. It's gonna be a hoot.

If you want a grumpy old white guy, you can't do much better than Ray Knight.

That has become a favorite post-game ritual for my Dad and me with every Nats loss.

Contrast that with last season when the Braves were hacks in the infield and remember the effect the errors had on Folty's composure at time.

Yeah the Braves are 3rd in DRS on the season. One of AA'a main goals was getting better defensively and he's done just that.
