I hoping they can finish well, but it’s still a bit of task. Consider the schedule as well. Still have a couple series against the Mets, one against the Phillies, a couple against the Cubs as well as interleague matchups against the Tigers, Mariners, and Astros. Not impossible, but it is improbable.

If they have a completely healthy lineup, and they still struggle offensively, it's time to shake it up this offseason

Did Waldrep’s split look more consistent? If he can throw the version of it that sinks 2” more consistently it would be a massively good development.
 
I have read up a little on Brian. A lottery ticket to be sure, but a guy that was once considered a top prospect, and who his previous team was trying to slip quietly through waivers because they didn’t want to lose him.

Worth a tryout for the next few weeks to see if there’s something that could be unlocked.

If not, so be it, but there is some potential there.

Only watched the first two innings- but yeah it was pretty on.

Used the 2 seam vs the four a lot more today and it was spotted at the bottom corner pretty well.

I can’t remember what I saw with his stuff, but it makes sense he might have more success with a sinker than a 4 seamer he can’t spin and get enough rise.
