GDT 811/14: Braves (Teheran) vs. Dodgers (Correia). NO KERSHAW SERIES!

Pena is awful. At hitting, at defense.

Which true fans have "given up"?

And you couldn't be farther from your observations. I think many of us "true homers" recognize this team has flaws, but for people like you to constantly point it out everyday, it isn't going to change anything and it only ruins the experience of actually watching the game with others here.

People like you are never happy when we're winning, and you get a sick taste of I told you so satisfaction when we aren't doing well.

Everyone on here knows you're notorious and one of the biggest offenders of this.

Cause this team hasn't had multiple 10+ win streaks this year

That's not it last years team believed the streaks would come this years team doesn't

Ok so what can be done over the offseason? Who would you think is safe and who goes ? We all agree changes need to be made right?

Really isn't too much wrong with this team.

I don't think enough people take into account how young and immature this team is. The talent and potential is there, just not the maturity.

How? We have 3 or 4 players that have been in the league less than 3 years...everyone else, our core, has over 4 years of service...

Immature maybe in a sense that they don't like to go to bed b4 midnight or eat cookies at night.

I can agree with this. I would get someone who can perhaps get the offense to realize their potential more. The one coach I don't have a lot of trust in is Walker.

We are one series win away from the team that just completed a 0-8 road trip that included SD we have shown over the year that 5th starters can shut us down. I'm not suprised at all and my hope is about gone. All that's left is looking at this team objectively. Let's say this team turns it around and wins the division does that change the fact that this offense needs to be reworked? I don't think it does. We need to be adequate offensively it's suprising how much we are like the dodgers offensively, the difference is we don't have a grienke or a Kershaw who can make 1 run Stand up Julio is not that good yet. This year is not on the pitchers it's squarely on the offense. People get pissed at Julio when he has a bad game without him I guarentee this is a sub .500 team

Harper has been in the league for 2.5 years now. We all know how much of a a teenager he still acts like.

Immature in the sense, that Teheran is still learning how to pitch. Freddie has to live up to his contract. Gattis has been asked to take a huge role in an important position, only 1 full year of service time. LaStella is still learning, CJ is what he is and then some headache. Simmons still is learning offensively how to play. Heyward is the only adult in the room besides Justin and BJ.

Every starter except bj was hitting at .270 or above entering today

According to fangraphs , this is the 3rd most clutch team.
