I guess he could have changed his approach but the Home Run Derby may have actually been bad for him. I feel like that's a load of crap but what else would attribute to his power outage? He just doesn't normally slump like this.

It's clear to me that Freddie not taking time off during a 22 games in 20 days and 40 games in 40 days stretch (or whatever it was) caught up to him. He seems to be late on fastballs, and turning over on offspeed stuff and grounding into the shift.
