At this rate, I honestly think he returns.Snit just said he hasn’t committed one way or the other to what he’s going to do.

Buckle up!God please no
This all day.I’m fine with giving him the Profar contract. He’s really lengthened the lineup, with a minimal defensive downgrade from Allen.
And the upshot is it would show the FO can work with Boras, which could then pay dividends when negotiating with Cease.
If he does and AA lets him and we tank again then they both need to go. The window has been wasted enough. At this rate, I honestly think he returns.
or 3Woke up a month late.
Totally agree. If he returns, the team better be better than this shit. And AA absolutely has to invest in the depth to overcome his tactical flaws. If he does and AA lets him and we tank again then they both need to go. The window has been wasted enough.
Someone needs to take this website away from you, lmao. What even is this? Strider is coming back from major surgery and trying to find his rhythm again. He’s got a track record of being elite (though I don’t think he’ll ever reach that level again). Meanwhile, Elder is basically an innings-eating dumpster fire - he’s awful 80% of the time and a smoke-and-mirrors ace the other 20%. Judging Strider based on this season alone is just ignorant. Let's see what he does in the off-season. He can be an extremely good No. 2 with a few tweaks.Strider and elder basically the same in xERa, FIP, and xFIP this season.
In September,
Strider: 2.35 era, 3.88 FIP
Elder: 2.92 era, 2.66 FIP
Any chance elder passes strider for next season? Probably more likely neither are starters.

The only way Strider becomes a reliever is if he puts up a 6 ERA across two years (which isn’t happening). He’s getting paid to be a starter. I just don’t see a world where he’s anything less than a solid No. 3 on a good team - he’s too smart and his repertoire is too solid. Pitchers with worse stuff thrive in this league. Plus, Spencer has been a positive by both bWAR and fWAR this year… so, no more propaganda, please.[
I think strider could end up a reliever or a back end starter. I think that's more likely than front end starter.
There aren't really examples because it's not often done. I also don't think Spencer needs to hit 98 to be dominant. Sure, it helps; but getting consistent break on his fastball is way more important. And also not something I think he will have an issue doing with a full off-season.I would love some examples of guys that came back from TJ/brace that didn't have their velocity, but got it back the next season. I wanna believe. I really do
