GDT 9/22/13: Braves (Teheran) @ Cubs (Jackson) 2:20 PM

Haven't been around much lately. Working two jobs has killed my free time. But I've lurked and enjoyed all everyone has contributed this year.

Been a weird year. This Braves team is young and at times it show's. But we've lost many guys and we still won. Think about it, we OWNED the Nats. We should get a trophy just for that.

Also, the Nats are essentially already eliminated since Cincy and Pitt still have to play each other next weekend.

Just couldn't resist taking one more shot at those assholes.

Of course we will need to become Nats fans this week as they take on the Cardinals next.

True, but I already did that Friday (Well, hoped they won that is, my heart wasn't in it). So I guess I've prepared myself for the Cardinal series, lol. Plus now that they're totally done it should be easier to do so.

Just got home. The Atlanta Braves: National League Eastern Division Champions.

Man, that sounds so good to hear again. Congratulations to OUR team. Well done!

To be honest, I doubt the Nats help us. They're already losing game two against Miami. I wouldn't surprised if Cardinals sweep them since the Nats don't have anymore WC hopes left.

That said, I am still hoping I'm wrong and that the Nats finish strong.

Roark, Gio, and Zimmermann go for the Nats, so the pitching is there

Strasburg is pitching against Miami tonight, already 2-0 Marlins. But at least with those three going they shouldn't get swept (assuming they don't change the rotation after tonight). I just wouldn't put it past them to lay down just to stick it us. I remember the Phillies basically did that against the Cardinals the year they caught us.

It seems fitting to me that Teheran is the one that closes it. He is going to anchor our staff for many years to come.

Nats had bases load no outs vs Flynn and failed to score. Brewers up 2-0 early on Cardinals, hopefully that holds.
