GDT: 9/30/'15 - Braves vs. Gnats , We welcome Brian Jordan to the discussion!

I changed with the wind. I did what my body told me. I grew up in Baltimore watching Cal Ripken. He had 100 stances. But it kept me back and let me use my arm strength better.

After all these years, I finally have closure on that. Like I said, even the video games replicated your signature knee bend stance and when you came back after your stints with the Rangers and Dodgers, there was a noticeable difference in your stance.

Thanks.

John and I had that conversation. He said, “Brian, you could coach in the bigs right now.” I said, “John, I would choke these kids.”

On a sort of related note, what did you learn from Bobby as a player that you could translate one day to being a coach/manager in the game?

Players like you who have always had the reputation in baseball as being a clubhouse leader and as Terrence Moore once said "Rah Rah", how could you see yourself and what traits do you bring to make you think you could be a successful manager?

Bobby has had a few disciples already such as Ned, Jimy, Fredi, and Ozzie Guillen (who was a player never a coach under Bobby).

Patience. That’s what I learned.

At your current level of fitness, do you think you could still hit better than Julio Franco is right now in Japan?
