If you knew Sale was not available then Holmes should have started Game 1 and SS Game 2 only if we needed him. That logic would have made more sense.

Why would you use fried with the backend of pen worn down?

Really puts things in perspective.
It was clear in the Reds game Sale wasn't right. He should have been pulled and checked.. Instead they let him get up over 90 pitches and now he is done. For a team that prioritized protecting the staff, they did a ****ty job.
no Strider, Shwelly, or Sale now.
ASS starting per DOB. How appropriate.
I disagree. They practically did everything but wrap Sale in bubble wrap this year. And there’s nothing they could’ve done about Strider, even if Snitker should’ve been paying attention to his velo drop.
I do agree that yesterday was grossly mishandled.
AJSS. Game 163.
You can’t make this stuff up.
I am still processing this.
But I do know one thing, we gotta win one of the next two. And this is the one SD really needs, because we will bring Fried and Lopez at them and that’s not good for them.
So with all of this information, I have now determined that AJSS will relentlessly eat their lunch for a good seven innings. Because baseball.
The Braves are going to have to find a way to win a game when they give up 4+ runs. The record in those games is... ridiculous. (13-58, 4-16 when giving up exactly 4 runs).
This stat right here defines the Braves offense more than any other imo.. Beating up on a guy who is off or bottom of barrel reliever to pad some runs scored stat or xwoba.. This team is worse than the numbers would imply.
