Yes, but Kimbrel doesn't usually get quick outs. He's known for walking folks and having long innings. He's never pitching 2 innings. 7th game of the WS, okay.
 
Only our players can be tired. Whatever. Someone has to win this thing besides the Dodgers or Cardinals. Freaking Brad Pitt and the A's, the Pirates, Rays, someone.
 
Well, my bet going into this game was it was going to be a turd like Schumaker that was going to have some October magic against us.

It ended up being Uribe instead.
 
Walden (who was a closer) had never gone more than an inning his whole career and Fredi had him do it multiple times this year and tried it during the playoffs. But not Kimbrel. Think about that.

Why was reed johnson even on the roster, I just cant back anything fredi does, he's just a poor manager, Garcia made him look pretty good though, but thats hindsight. He didnt necessarily cost the braves the series but he hand a huge hand it.

Plus, if Kimbrel stuggles in the 9th, you have the option of, you know, pitching someone else. Heck Starters could have been asked to come in and get an out, why not Mike Minor who wouldn't need to pitch until Friday?

It is beyond sad to me that TBS has stooped so low as to hire that scum.

Yet Skip wasn't good enough to do postseason games for them in his last full year on this earth. Disgusting.

Well he should take a couple weeks off and then get to watching the tapes. I'll volunteer to walk him through the whole season.
 
Well March can't get here fast enough. Although I'm not convinced we will find ourselves in this position next year. We lost all chance at a world title when Huddy went down. But this team didn't quit. And I'm proud of them.

i don't get why other people don't see it.. "boo hooo, pirates haven't won in years.. such a great story... feel bad for their fans" .. they're steelers fans too, they've won the SB twice in the last 10 years... but it sucks that they had to be up against the cardinals who i hate even more

I walked outside after the double just knowing a pitching change was coming. Walked back in and didn't see Kimbrel warming up and I went ahead and turned the volume down on my tv. That home run was the least surprising thing I've ever seen happen on TV, and I watch Seinfeld reruns.
 
If Fredi is still the manager next year, I think it will be the first time in about 25 years that I won't watch 150+ games.

How is an elimination game any different than 7th game of the WS? If you lose, you go home, with your best pitcher sitting on the bench.
