I only go back to the Milwaukee days. I remember a guy named Kevin Coffman who had awesome movement on his pitches, but he couldn't harness it. 47 K/95 BB in 110.2 IP over two seasons. Absolutely maddening to watch him pitch.

Exactly. I think AA’s hands were tied and the only way for him to add a talented arm that was cheap enough was to absolutely pay thru the noise.
