GDT: Braves @ Phillies Game 4: Avoid the Death Blow

I'm drunk, and I am certainly pissed, but I'm concentrating long enough to realize this was a good season even if it ended crappy. Ozzie, please play all yeat next season. Acuna, please get that knee healthy. Regroup, and let's win it next season

It was a really good season. Winning back to back is hard so let’s re group and reload and try again next year.

Swanson 2-16 with 7K
Riley 1-15 with 5K
Harris 1-14 with 5K

Pretty rough end to the season. But I firmly believe that this team was mentally and physically gassed after the Mets series. You could see it in the Marlins series.

Where do you think Swanson ends up.

We are a spoiled bunch. 101 wins despite many hiccups. Back at it in '23. I hope the Swanson thing does not drag out like the Freddie thing.

I’ll miss Dansby…it was truly awesome to see him develop into the player he is today in our system. Plays the game hard and the right way…

That would be amazing
And it would finally move Acuna to the 2nd spot where he always should of been hitting.
No telling how many runs we’ve missed out on by him hitting lead off the last three years

Snit would still put Trea in the 2 hole.

As long as Snit is manager, Acuna will never be moved out of the leadoff spot.

Last year, we were an 88 win team, and lucked our way to a WS with replacement players GOATing in the month of October.

Anyone who thought Snit was some masterclass manager in October last year, hasn't been paying attention the last 5 years. No doubt Snit is a good clubhouse guy, but tactician he is not.

Hell of a season. They were probably burnt out as someone else said having to catch the Mets. Offense went MIA, and Phillies offense did not other than Game 2. Be an interesting offseason to see what AA does.

Congratulations to the Phillies. They played better and deserved it.

Good news is this team is set up to compete for the foreseeable future. Will be interesting off-season though

I really would love to see this forum come up with a list of three to five guys who aren't currently managing another team for the foreseeable future who would begin to approach the level of success Snitker has had with this team.
