GDT: Braves @ Phillies Game 4: Avoid the Death Blow

If Judge bolts from the Yankees, I wouldn't be surprised if Correa ends up there. We were all frustrated with the waiting on Freeman (not helped by the lockout), but we may be forced to wait again this off-season until Judge/Correa/Turner and the other top-tier guys land.

AA usually acts quickly so i'm not totally sure about that. Regarding Correa, Yankees have a bunch of top shortstops in their farm system coming up. I think they basically have to go for broke for Judge, there's no alternative.

He may want to move fast, but unless he absolutely blows the doors off with a deal for Turner or Correa out of the gate, he may have to play the waiting game.

I agree that the Yankees really have to open up the vault for Judge and probably will.

Isn't it nice to once again be players for free agent names rather than knowing we're gonna take every bargain deal.
 
I agree AA likes to move fast and will try to get something done quick. Swanson wants to test the market and I can see more teams pounce early on him since they all figure he’ll be the cheapest of the bunch. If that happens and Swanson signs elsewhere early it’ll be interesting to see what AA does.

I wanted to hold off on making any comments in the moment, because like most of us, I was very frustrated. In the end, I’m devastated the Braves lost but so proud of this team - from a World Series title to 101 wins. What a season. Obviously, winning the division alone isn’t enough but give the Phillies credit - they absolutely brought it. The future is bright. Stay positive, friends!

How valid is that ? I didn’t see it I was catching for my sons sinker

The ball was hit to left center.
No right fielder is going to move right away.
He should have been walking that direction and then got on it once it bounced back towards right and Harris overran it.
But best case scenario JT ends up with a triple.
Still scores next batter
So he ended up costing us one run.
We gave up 8.
I mean if folks wanna blame everything on Acuna then go right ahead.
I’m moreso gonna say it was a stupid play but did that cost us this series?
I’d say the starters besides Wrighf having an ERA
of 14.70 would be the reason or everyone but 3 hitters in our lineup hitting below 150 but what do I know.
And no I’m not saying folks shouldn’t get on Acuna for making a stupid play when he does it.
Just seems like an odd hill to die on considering I’d put him way down the list for why we got destroyed this series.
Atleast he acually you know got on base and finally showed toughness and heart that folks said he didn’t have.

Joe needs fired. His racism is showing again. If it was Swanson playing RF, he wouldn't have said ****.

That's like a 10-15 ft section of fence. Not exactly a common play that should be assumed.
